Our partners Content:            International partners          National partners          Local partners     The Tayna Gorilla Reserve maintains partnership with other organizations both at national and international levels. International partners   The Tayna gorilla reserve maintains an excellent collaboration with the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International, the principal partner involved in this project and providing unrestricted support: Financial help Technical support Moral support Material support Scientific support. This partnership has been an opportunity and an essential tool for the project success. National partners The TGR maintains very good relations with the ICCN (Institut Congolais de Conservation de la nature), a state institution in charge of the management of proteced areas. Its involvement is essential for such a project. Local partners The Tayna Gorilla Reserve cooperates with five associations working for community-based conservation. They are supported both technically and materially in the aim of assuring efficient conservation of threatened species. The TGR would like to expand the protection of rare species in this region through this partnership and help of these associations, which are: ILSN (Initiative Locale pour la Sauvengarde de la Nature) at Masisi ACPN IM at Itombwe MWENGA in South-Kivu RECOPRIBA (Reserve Communautaire des Primates de Bakumbule) at Walikale REPI at Walikale COCREFOBA at Itebero / Walikale Their cooperation yields very good results especially by creating awareness for conservation needs within the local population and the desire to protect our wild species for the community interest.
